PhibroADY is a specially selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain, developed specifically for fuel ethanol and beverage alcohol production. PhibroADY converts glucose to pyruvate through the Embden-Meyerhof-Parnas or glycolytic pathway and then to ethanol by fermentation. It can also use fructose, sucrose, maltose, and maltotriose as carbon sources for conversion to ethanol.

Tier One: Phibro’s Certificate of Analysis (COA) includes yeast quality metrics such as live yeast, fungal and bacterial contamination counts, and sensory measurements.

Tier Two: Each and every lot is also tested for fermentation Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) at specified intervals during fermentation and at drop. In total, nearly 20 properties are examined for each lot. Every KPI has stringent specifications for acceptability, helping to ensure lot-to-lot consistency.

Tier Three: Periodic stress testing of lots is completed to ensure performance under high temperature and in the presence of organic acids.
