Aureomycin® (chlortetracycline) is a medicated feed additive indicated for a wide range of respiratory, enteric and reproductive diseases and provides producers optimal treatment, with a proven track record of over 50 years of safe and effective use.

Indications
  • Control of porcine proliferative enteropathies (ileitis) caused by Lawsonia intracellularis susceptible to chlortetracycline
  • Treatment of bacterial enteritis caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Salmonella choleraesuis and bacterial pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida susceptible to chlortetracycline
  • Reduction in the incidence of cervical lymphadenitis (jowl abscesses) caused by Group E streptococci susceptible to chlortetracycline
  • Breeding swine: control of leptospirosis (reducing incidence of abortion and shedding of leptospirae) caused by Leptospira pomona susceptible to chlortetracycline

What Is It For?
Aureomycin® is indicated for the treatment of bacterial enteritis caused by E. coli and S. choleraesuis and bacterial pneumonia caused by P. multocida, and control porcine proliferative enteropathies (ileitis) caused by L. intracellularis, and reduce the incidence of cervical lymphadenitis (jowl abscesses) caused by Group E streptococci.
Aureomycin also controls leptospirosis in breeding swine caused by L. Pomona, reducing the incidence of abortion and shedding of leptospirae.
How Does It Work?

Aureomycin® is a Type A Medicated Article indicated for a wide range of respiratory, enteric and reproductive diseases, and contains 50, 90 or 100 g of chlortetracycline activity per pound of premix.

Safety Information
  • Use only as directed.
  • For use in dry feed only. Not for use in liquid medicated feeds.
  • No withdrawal is required prior to slaughter for the domestic market.
Storage and Handling
  • Expiration period is 24 months from the date of manufacture. The package indicates expiration date.
  • Store below 25° C (77° F); excursions permitted to 37° C (99° F).
