Aureomycin® (chlortetracycline) is a medicated feed additive for control and treatment of diseases in chickens (including laying hens), turkeys, ducks and psittacine birds.
Indications
- For the control of infectious synovitis (Mycoplasma synoviae) in chickens and turkeys
- For the control of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and air sac infection (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Escherichia coli) and the reduction of mortality due to E. coli in chickens.
- For the control of complicating bacterial organisms associated with Bluecomb (transmissible enteritis; coronaviral enteritis) and hexamitiasis (Hexamita meleagridis) in turkeys.
- For the reduction of mortality due to paratyphoid (Salmonella typhimurium) in turkey poults.
- For the control and treatment of fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida in turkeys and ducks.
- For the treatment of psittacosis caused by Chlamydia psittaci in psittacine birds.

- CAUTION: Federal law restricts medicated feed containing this veterinary feed directive (VFD) drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
*Aureomycin® combined with other drugs may not be approved for use in layers. Refer to 21 CFR 558.128 or consult your Phibro representative.
